Approvals
Before Shiba starts repository work, it asks you to approve the request. Read the approval card in the task’s thread or open Approvals to find pending decisions.
Check the request
Section titled “Check the request”Make sure the card matches what you want:
- Repository and branch: Is this the right place to work?
- Task: Is the requested change clear and limited to your brief?
- Checks: Are the requested tests or other checks appropriate?
- Publishing: Should Shiba open a pull request, and post a review afterward?
The card shows the exact request you are approving. If something is wrong, reject it and explain the change in the thread. Review the new request before approving it.
Approve or reject
Section titled “Approve or reject”Choose Approve to allow that request to run. Approval applies to the request shown, not every future task in the conversation.
Choose Reject to cancel the proposed work. No repository work starts for that rejected request. You can revise your brief and try again.
If your team uses Slack approvals, an authorized teammate can also decide from the card in Slack. Your administrator controls who can approve there.
After approval
Section titled “After approval”Return to the thread to follow progress and inspect the result. Read the changed files and reported checks before adopting the work. An approval gives permission to run; it does not guarantee the result is correct.
Continue with Threads and results or Pull request review.
